Breast cancer:

• Development of a functional assay for BRCA1 and BRCA2
• Search for genetic modifiers of BRCA conferred cancer risks
• The role of BRCA1 in non-inherited (sporadic) breast cancer
• A linkage search for BRCA3
• Clinical validation of BRCA1 and BRCA2 sequence variants of uncertain clinical significance
• Combining functional information relating to genetic variation in BRCA1 and BRCA2 to evaluate its clinical significance 

Paraganglioma:

• The role of SDHD in non-inherited (sporadic) paraganglioma
• Search for the gene defect in a family with paragangliomas of the head and neck region (PGL2)
• Functional analysis of a SDHD knock-out mouse model
